Dr. Joseph Hassett

Dr. Joe Hassett will be your physician when you visit AAIM Care.  He is originally from the East Coast and did his residency and internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City, NY.  He is board certified in internal medicine, allergy and immunology, and diagnostic laboratory immunology.

In 1996, he moved out to Portland, Oregon to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and slower pace.  He joined Allergy Asthma and Dermatology Associates at that time and built up a thriving practice there.  August 2007 he decided to leave Allergy Associates and start his own practice.  Doing this allowed him to deliver the kind of in-depth thorough care that he wanted to be able to give his patients. 

Dr. Hassett's goal is to educate his patients about the allergic or immunologic disease process that affects them so that eventually they have the information and experience they need to learn to self-manage their symptoms and the medications.  Although this process may take a little longer than you may be used to spending with your doctor, Dr. Hassett feels that this is truly in you, the patient's, best interest.  It allows him to deliver the highest quality medical care.  So feel free to ask questions and get ready to truly become "in charge" of your disease!

The Rest of the AAIM Care Team

Most of Dr. Hassett team has been working with him for a number of years.  Almost all of our team came with him from his previous practice to help him start his first independent practice. Here is an introduction to the fantastic team of people that work with the patients and behind the scenes to help create a fantastic patient experience!

Currently, we have two nurses, Cheryl  and Emily. We also have one medical assistant, Imelda. Bea is the receptionist at Mt. Scott and Judi is receptionist in Vancouver as well as our medical billing and coding specialist.  Lenore, the office manager, is the one working behind the scenes to make sure everything is organized and running smoothly!
